Rev. Schmid and Dr. Gräbe in Lebanon

Rev Klaus Schmid in JLSS Rev. Klaus Schmid and Rev. Dr. Uwe Gräbe visited Lebanon in October 2013. The main event of the visit was the Schneller board meeting which was held on 10 October 2013 in the hall of the National Evangelical Church in Beirut.
Rev. Dr. Uwe Gräbe had other meetings in Beirut the following days with EMS partner institutions.
Rev. Schmid travelled to Schneller School after the dinner kindly hosted by Mrs. Wadea Badr at the end of the board meeting.
He had various meetings in JLSS the following days and was able to catch up with developments in school. He was particularly interested in the Syrian refugee program in JLSS which is totally financed by EVS/EMS. He checked on the 27 Syrian refugee children studying in JLSS this year, and how they were doing emotionally and academically. The director also discussed with him plans for a vocational training program for Syrian refugee single mothers.
Rev. Schmid returned to Beirut on Sunday morning 13 October to attended the service in the National Evangelical Church in Beirut. He flew back to Germany on Monday.
We thank Rev. Klaus Schmid and Rev. Dr. Uwe Gräbe for their visit and for the wonderful support JLSS receives from EVS/EMS that enables it to continue its ministry to disadvantaged people.
