New Parents' Committee Elected on 30 November 2022

Parents of JLSS students had a meeting on Wednesday 30 November 2022 at 9:00 AM to elect a new parents' committee.
The response to our invitation was not good. We only had nine persons attending who were running for membership on the committee.
The high cost of petrol was the determining factor in this very low attendance.
Attending, in accordance with Lebanese law, was the representative of the Ministry of Education, Mr. Gabi Massaad who organized all the proceedings.
As the number of people running for election was the exact number needed for the committee, the representative of the Ministry of Education decided that they won uncontested.
The members of the new committee are:
Mr. Toni Khaleefeh, Mr. Basseem Nasser, Mrs. Rasha Jaber, Mr. Toni Nahhas, Mr. Hussein alMalat, Mrs. Cynthia Karam, Mrs. Antoinette Abou Fakher, Mr. Fadi alKhateeb, and Mr. Yousef Safiyyeh.
The new parents' committee elected Mr. Toni Khaleefeh Chairperson, Mr. Basseem Nasser Vice Chairperson, Mrs. Rasha Jaber Secretary, and Mr. Toni Nahhas and Mr. Hussein alMalat members of the Finance Committee in addition to Miss Rita Rashed and Mrs. Houda Haddad Saadeh who were nominated by the school administration. The head of the Academic Department, Mrs. Odette Haddad, is an ex officio member of the parents' committee.
We thank parents who attended for their cooperation, and we congratulate the newly elected committee.
We look forward to working with the new parents' committee for the coming three years.
