BibleLands Grant for a Vocational Training Center for Girls
11 February 2008We received wonderful news from BibleLands of a grant
of US$ 40000 towards Stage I of our Vocational Training Center for Girls project. We also received word that our Swiss partners may help us too. The outstanding balance is US$ 17000. If we receive this amount from our Swiss and German partners we will be able to implement this project next Summer. Our girls are growing and we need to have this center ready for them very soon as some of them are already in the 8th Grade. The first stage of the project consists of doing the renovation work on two floors of our old laundry building and converting them into classrooms and work areas for teaching hairdressing, make-up & cosmetics, and dressmaking & fashion design. We express our most sincere gratitude to BibleLands and we hope our Swiss and German partners will help us get the matching grant needed to complete this very important project for our school.
