Back to School for the Academic Year 2006/2007 & Farewell to Dr. Kassis

Our children and students returned to school early October 2006 for the new academic year. It was an important achievement for the outgoing director, Dr. Riad Kassis, to have the school ready for our students on time after the recent war in Lebanon. Some displaced people had stayed in Schneller school during the war and it was a daunting task to prepare everything in time for our students. The start of the year was a sad one as it was the time for Schneller to say good bye to Dr. Kassis and his family. The board of managers had a special celebration to honor them on Saturday 7 October 2006. Later that evening the whole school bid them farewell in a special dinner that the board held in their honor as an expression of gratitude in Anjar restaurant. Rev. Klaus Schmid and Rev. Andreas Maurer came from Germany especially for the occasion. We express our sincere gratitude to Dr. Kassis and his family for the many years of outstanding ministry in Schneller school. We wish them God's richest blessing in their new ministry.
